After photographing so many newborns, I was very excited to apply my skills on my own baby. Once I found out about my pregnancy, I conceptualised several setups that I wanted to try. A must-do setup was to portray Baby D as a future golfer as my husband is very serious about his game! Another set up I had always wanted to try was using a Dim Sum basket, as I wanted to make newborn imagery that related to our Chinese culture. The last and most challenging set up was ‘bringing outside in’. It’s very difficult to have an outdoor session with newborns in Hong Kong due to various reasons, and since it was October, it was starting to get a bit cooler. I decided to recreate an outdoor scene inside my apartment with fresh flowers and a lot of moss!
